I don’t know how Netflix has already gotten season two of “Stranger Things” in motion. Nevertheless, Netflix officially announced this morning that a second season of the uber-successful show will return sometime in 2017.
“We’re saying a Season Two would actually be more of a sequel and there would be a new main tension, and we would, in one way or another, resolve that tension at the end,” Ross Duffer told us last month. “And so the idea became this sequel. We’re leaving a few threads to revisit. It’s almost treating it more like a big movie.”
Okay, so the fact that they are treating this like a movie is definitely good news. I’m a little nervous about a sophomore slump with this show but from what I’ve read it appears that everyone from last season is back on board. I don’t know if you can make anything of this because I couldn’t, but this incredibly cryptic teaser from Netflix’s Twitter gives you a taste of things to come:
Barb better be in the mix for this new season. Need Barb back in the worst way. .

I watched the whole season and still can’t decide if I like this show. Barb was definitely overrated though. Yeah I said it.
And by that same notion, Steve gets an unfair amount of hate. He breaks the camera of the creepy guy who took pics of his girlfriend getting undressed- understandably so. He gets shitty then when his gf starts avoiding him with said creepy guy. He didn’t paint the movie theater and later stood up to his asshole friends and helped clean the mess they made. And then he takes the high road and goes to apologize to Jonathan to his face, and ends up saving them from getting eaten by the monster.
Steve is a pretty alright dude in my book.
Jonathan kicking his ass was one of the season’s most satisfying moments but Steve does redeem himself in the end.
Does Wendy pull a power move and have a Devil’s threeway?
That would bring a whole new meaning to the upside down.
Loved how no one cared that Barb was missing, and then dead. By the time 11 found her, even Nancy was pretty over it.
Especially when you consider the show takes place over the course of roughly 1 week.
Barb was the nerd who dies. That’s all she was. Massively overrated.
Barb straight up sucked.
She actively tries to be a cock block, and when she finally does decide to try downing a beer, she not only bleeds profusely everywhere but she summons an inter-dimensional monster.
Just make Nancy take a cab and stay home, Barb.
No one likes a cock block. No one.
