John Daly is alive and well. Thank God.
Everyone’s favorite 2 time major winner laughed in the face of death last night by performing the classic Bob Dylan hit, “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” with his pal Mark Bryan. You may remember Mark from noted nineties powerhouse Hootie and the Blowfish and not as the guy from Better Than Ezra, which is who I thought he was when I first saw this.
Just a few days prior, John collapsed on the golf course at a tournament in Mississippi with a collapsed lung. Per Golf Channel, John stopped breathing for three minutes, and luckily, a nurse from the gallery administered CPR. Naturally, JD was on the course the next day, letting it rip and blasting cigs, because of course he was.

Last night, the Golf Channel’s own Win McMurry took this amazing video at a Myrtle Beach bar that should put a smile on your face. If not, what’s your deal?
Good for John. The first real golf course I played was his fantastically named Wicked Stick in Myrtle Beach. Didn’t go low (didn’t break 100), but I enjoyed myself. Hopefully, John can continue gracing us with his insane golf attire and impromptu Dylan covers for years to come. .

I love that he’s singing with Mark Bryan from Hootie and the Blowfish.
