This party was legendary, and we have the video, audio, photos, and hangovers to prove it. First of all, thank you to the fans who made it out. We met people from across the country who came in to hang out with us all weekend, and I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that these brands that we’ve created have that much reach. This website started as a Twitter feed, and our podcast strategy has been “make each other laugh” for the last two years. Thank you for the support.
Next, let’s talk about Natural Light, our title sponsor. They are awesome. They’ve sent us to The Masters and collaborated with us on The Rowdy Gentleman Natty Collection, and they’re a blast to hang out with. I also want to give love to Deep Eddy Cabaret & Pool Burger, our venue hosts, for dealing with hundreds of thirsty animals for four hours. And a special thanks to Icenhauer’s on Rainey St. for hosting our fan meet-up on Friday and the unofficial/official after party on Saturday. SXSW is a complete shitshow, and I heard zero complaints about any of the service at any of the venues.
Now, let’s get to some content. We didn’t set out to create a hot people only event, but it sure turned into that. Take a few minutes and browse the Saved By The Brunch Photo Gallery from Vincent Roazzi Jr. The guy is a PRO.
And let me add the one photo I found on my phone from after party:
Who wants video? We got video.
Dan Regester, a.k.a. Jack Hammer a.k.a. Danny Trap Beat put together another heater for us. I am now personally responsible for at least 2 new Touching Base listeners, and I assume that fact will be reflected on my next paycheck.
Here we go. It’s time for the Big Montana. You came here for audio, and folks, you will get audio:
Live From Saved By The Brunch 2018. Another beautiful disaster that I will not listen to:
And if you enjoyed that but prefer something with a little less chaos, checkout Tuesday’s episode where we recap the event in a solemn, subdued manner:
If you enjoyed that, and how couldn’t you, please give Touching Base a follow on Instagram and Twitter.
We’re all just now starting to get back to 100 percent around here. If you were unable to make it but want to prove to the world that you still support the party, grab the official Saved By The Brunch Shirt and rock it everywhere you go this weekend.
Finally, thank you Rowdy Gentleman, and Man Outfitters for backing this entire operation. We’ll be back next year around the same time, so plan accordingly..
Fire. Pretty sure if Duda was there it would’ve sucked.
This called for making plans in advance, which Duda doesn’t do.
Are touchers/PGP fans not the best looking group of people?
Party was definitely an HPO situation.
We just need everyone to make their avatar pictures of them and we’ll find out.
Snacks on snacks.
Micah is the backbone of this company.
You’re god damn right. Put some respeck on his name! @Dorn @Will
The audio from that microphone sounded worse than a Soviet era commercial. My ears are bleeding.
Mikey Weens is on his tip toes again
The best part of the entire recap was learning that nickname.
Nothing like the elusive bottled Natty Light
Dave, your off the cuff dry humor is priceless
Deuces down low, heels up high.
So have you guys finally set a date with Brian for save by the brunch KC?
Any attendance numbers? Looks packed
Venue capacity was 150 and at one point the door guy’s clicker said there were 380 people inside. There was a solid one in, one out line all day. I’d guess we had 500-600 people come through. Very encouraging for the prospect of future events.
Looks like @Bacon didn’t get an invite after his ejection from TFM Day Rage
Pretty sure we would’ve gotten shut down had any officials rolled up.
That’s mondo tight
