Despite the #SummerOfJordan being over, that doesn’t mean he has to stop being awesome. Even in the thick of winter, Jordan is still out there doing things that make me blindly worship a 22-year-old dude with a receding hairline.
Case and point: while golfing with country music star Jake Owen today, Spieth wrecked a Happy Gilmore-style drive in front of a pretty stacked gallery. Well, at least for a charity tournament.
Nice Happy Gilmore to start the day @JordanSpieth pic.twitter.com/HyKA8xkPYd

Spieth was attending an event for Jake Owen’s foundation in Vero Beach, Florida where it sounds like the two dominated in front of about 1,500 people. Owen also auctioned off a putting lesson with Spieth for around $10,000, which made me wonder how much I’d have to fork out at a silent auction to get Spieth to tag along at my friend’s bachelor party in June.
Jordan, if you’re out there reading this, just know that I’m open to negotiating your fee. I’m not saying you have to start off the golf portion of the trip with a ceremonial Happy Gilmore-style drive, but I’m also not going to stop you from trying. .
Jake Owen played golf at Florida State and instead of going pro he decided to become a songwriter. Lucky tuck.
If I recall it was because of some injury that he sustained that left him unable to compete professionally.
Hell of a back up plan.
