The Big Lebowski is one of the best movies ever made. It’s a cult classic that has a lot of great bit characters. I say “This isn’t ‘Nam, Smokey, there are rules” way more than any human should.
The Coen Brothers may not be directing, but that doesn’t mean Jeff Bridges doesn’t think a Big Lebowski sequel isn’t a good idea. The Coen’s most recently did this when they allowed Fargo to be adapted into a TV series. It flies under the radar, but Fargo is sneaky one of the best shows on television right now. The first two seasons are edge of your seat stuff, and I usually think sequels are a bad idea but maybe let’s just let Jeff Bridges direct a Lebowski sequel? I could see John Turturro and Bridges teaming up to make a new Lebowski.
That creep can roll, man..

Not every movie needs a sequel or remake. Keep the classics, classic.
Just watched joe dirt two… So disappointed
Case in point: They are remaking Ben-Hur. While I realize Charlton Heston’s version was a remake of a silent movie, his movie won 9 oscars. What’s next, are they going to remake Gone With the Wind or give it a shitty sequel? This Ben-Hur remake isn’t even expected to bring in more than $15 M opening weekend (cost $100M), so a complete flop.
Aren’t we supposed to remake bad movies, not good ones, in hopes of making them good? And do good movies need sequels if they managed to tell a complete, compelling story?
