Friday night pizza is fantastic. It’s a big thing in the Northeast, specifically my gf’s home town of Yonkers. Every family has their favorite shop, and they eat pizza from that shop every Friday. Clockwork. I’ve crushed it at the gym all week, and it’s time to carb up. Hell yeah!
So, I ask you, the loyal postgradproblems.com reader to help decide our delicious fate. I’ve posted a tweet from my verified account below. Is this hyper-local? Yes. Do I care? No. Dave’s basically given me the green light to post whatever I want on the site since I go viral so often.
A quick breakdown. Pinthouse is a brewery/pizza shop with very good beers and solid classic American-style pies. It’s very close to the new apartment. Counter service and likely many children.
The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co. (ABGB) is a local beer garden and brewery that makes beers I like. The pizza there is good. Counter service, less children, more dogs. Close.
Cane Rosso is a Dallas-based Texas chain serving Neapolitan-sytle pies– think chewy and stretchy crust. It’s table service and should be busy. It’s next door to a soft-serve ice cream place. Less than five minutes away.
Bufalina is furthest away. They also serve Neapolitan pies, but the atmosphere is much different. It’s a small place on the eastside with an extensive wine list and likely, a lengthy wait. We’d probably take a lyft there.

A brewery with likely many children? Sounds awful unless you’re going for a 7 year old child’s birthday. In that case it’s kind of a win over hipster gymnastics or Chuck E. Cheese.
Have been to a Pinthouse where there was a 7 year old’s birthday party. It sucked for everyone else, don’t have your kid’s birthday party at a brewery
Went to a brewery where they were having a 1 year old’s birthday party one time. Wanted to throw the parents into traffic. Have some decency for everyone around you
