If it’s possible to ruin a bottle of white wine, the one way to do it is by not chilling it properly. Of course, I’m one of the most impatient people I know, so oftentimes I find myself grabbing a bottle of white from the store’s shelf when my preferred bottle isn’t refrigerated, going home, and immediately uncorking it. Sure, I could wait for half an hour while it properly cools down, but who has time for that?
Alternatively, I throw a couple of ice cubes into my glass and hope that I can chug half a bottle before they melt, diluting and ruining my beverage. Basically, white wine is a huge hassle, but I can’t live without it, so I deal.
Thankfully for all of us, the world’s most ingenious woman just came up with the solution to all of our white wine woes. Clare from England discovered that by filling her refrigerator’s water dispenser with white wine, her favorite kitchen appliance now comes with a free, built-in wine chiller and dispenser. If this isn’t the most genius idea you’ve ever had, I don’t know what is.
This works for Clare because her fridge has a refillable water tank for the dispenser, so if your machine doesn’t have a manual override to turn water into wine, you may want to skip this experiment. For the rest of us though, this is truly a game changer. Pour your wine into your fridge, and you’ve created a free-flowing fountain of Riesling to enjoy forever….or at least until you have to refill it. Just don’t let your three-year-old cousin fill up his own sippy cup when you babysit, and you’re set with the greatest invention of all time. .

The thumb in the photo looks kinda odd.
That was rude. I’m just upset about finding out this morning that I’m extremely allergic to dogs.
Thank you, RC, for turning two mildly funny memes into full blown articles. Your contributions to this site are seriously underappreciated.
