Not to argue but that’s usually how it works. They don’t want any psychos sabotaging things when they know you dgaf anymore. I believe they still have to pay you though so that’s nice.
I’ve never heard of this before. There’s a ton of transitional work that needs to be done whenever someone leaves. It would be idiotic to send home the guy who can explain what is going on with everything he was working on.
Agreed. Unless you’re a disgruntled employee, why would management think that you’re going to sabotage anything?
I mean if I quit I get my registration revoked immediately, lose computer privileges immediately and legally aren’t allowed to do anything further. *shrug*
Good news is depending on your state hey might still have to pay you 2 weeks (if they require you give it).
Put in my two weeks to go to a competitor. Our location is quite a ways away from any corporate office, so it took them 3 days to round up an HR person to come complete my exit, so I had to sit in my office with the shades drawn rejecting phone calls and emails. Said I wasn’t allowed to have any contact with coworkers or customers until my exit was completed, or else I would forfeit my pay.
