Anxiety spikes immediately
Every time my boss calls me, I worry I’m being fired. Every time I ask to talk to him, I’m hoping he’s worried I’m quitting.
I’ve had this happen.
“Hey, do you have a minute?”
“Please don’t tell me your resigning.”
*Thinks for a minute*
“Not if we can agree on a bigger salary.”
Earned my coffee that day.
The last time my boss asked if I had a few minutes to talk, it was to let me know he and the rest of his management team was getting laid off.
Had a similar experience. Scared the crap out of me
