Leave it to Dave to give us all the feels when remembering Robin Williams, his friend of 38 years. Dave and Robin first became friends when doing stand-up comedy at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, long before either of them were remotely famous or notable. In the clip, Dave remembers how Robin burst onto the Los Angeles comedy scene “like a hurricane,” how Robin got Dave a guest spot on “Mork and Mindy,” which helped launch his career, and his many appearances on “Late Night” and “Late Show,” including coming on right after Dave’s open heart surgery. The clip is 10 minutes long, but incredibly poignant and moving the whole way through.
