It actually baffles me how old people think this is something to do at work. Not only does it make your coworkers hate you but it’s a bad look to anyone higher up when you’re not only waisting your time but also a colleagues.

Super fun at parties. Honestly I have no problem dicking around at work but ya gotta keep up appearances. Chatting while in a public space, you’re friendly and contributing to a positive office environment even if your discussing a TV show or something obviously off topic, pulling someone into your office to show them a slideshow of shitty pictures from you vacation for half an hour like some of my coworkers do to me is a different ball game, it’s more committed than happened upon. Like reading shit on the internet, you do it on your desktop and it looks like a quick break (or that you’re actually working) same thing on your phone and you look like your not taking anything seriously.
Eh. She’s only 40 and has the second highest salary in the office so she kind of does what she wants.
