Buckle Up: Super Troopers 2 Finally Began Filming Today

Thorny, Farva, Mac, Rabbit, and Foster. They’ll all be returning for Super Troopers 2 which began filming today. This is the latest in a long line of films which has decided that a sequel was a good idea. Jay Chandrasekhar is directing again, and I think if anyone was able to do a solid sequel movie it’s Broken Lizard. Funny guys with a good track record. There’s no word on a release date yet but they are still accepting donations on Indiegogo.

Apparantly the script isn’t even complete which is probably why they’re accepting donations. I’m guessing it has something to do with paying for expensive action scenes (I’ve seen “Project Greenlight” I know a lot about movie production). In any case, it should be a fun watch. The first one wasn’t exactly Oscar-worthy material so as long as it brings the laughs it’ll be considered a success by anyone who is fans of Broken Lizard.

This movie definitely gives off the “let’s just wait until it’s on Netflix” vibe. Like, yeah, I’ll definitely give this a watch but there’s no way I’m making the haul to the local theater to see this. .
