All throughout the playoffs, the reporters kept trying to make him say it. Last night, Terry Bradshaw tried again, and he still wouldn’t say it. Even though we all knew it, there was no way in hell that Tom Brady was going to admit that this playoff run, this Super Bowl win, was just a little sweeter because of the shitshow known as Deflategate, and the four game suspension that started this season. He smiled and shook hands, albeit awkwardly, with the man responsible for it all, NFL Commissioner/Satan Roger Goodell, although what he likely wanted to do was shove that Lombardi Trophy up Goodell’s ass.
Yes, Tom has held himself above it all – until a commercial that aired locally here in Boston after the game last night. Brady is the spokesperson for Shields’ MRI, a local healthcare firm, which has run a commercial during this season featuring him and his four Super Bowl rings. But last night’s version, reportedly shot during his suspension, not only drops in his fifth ring, but throws a little not-so-subtle shade at the Commish at the end:
Roger that, Goodell..
