I’ve gone on record saying that I’m deathly afraid of going bankrupt because I drunkenly take an Uber Chopper to a luxurious destination, but now Uber is making my life even harder by factoring in UberYACHT which just launched in Dubai.
From what I can tell, UberYACHT isn’t a means to get from Point-A to Point-B, but rather just a mobile partying service (which might be even worse news for me). Per CNN:
Food, drink, resident DJs and views of the city’s iconic shoreline come with the ride — at a cost of AED300 ($82) — for those who request their spot using the app 48 hours before the ship sets sail.
Uber’s Dubai General Manager, Chris Free, went on to explain, “Following the success of UberCHOPPER in Dubai, we are thrilled to introduce UberYACHT to Dubai’s waters with this exclusive party that residents can book just as they would an Uber car or chopper, with the same level of convenience, reliability and accessibility.”
There’s no saying whether or not the food and drinks are included in the $82 fee, but you’d have to assume you’re going to be shelling out if you’re looking to sip some Peronis and crush some oysters while on the yacht. Either way, if I can clear a bougie night out for under $150, that’s all gravy, baby.
The age-old adage is that if it flies, floats, or fucks, you’ve gotta rent instead of buy so I guess this is a blessing in disguise when it comes to me needing to buy a boat. But still, if I want to name it “Chillin’ The Most” after Kid Rock, I don’t think Uber will let me. .

$82 seems…extremely reasonable
Wonder what their margins are. If $82 buys exclusive use of the yacht for a night, they can’t be making jack shit. But if you’re one of many parties onboard for a 3 hour tour, that’s an entirely different story.
I’m really looking forward to the Über/SpaceX merger once we figure out interplanetary travel.

Did my brain finally just give up or is there some editing to be done here?
Just need to know if it’s all-inclusive, that’s all. Having them available is different. Up to interpretation. Whatever.
That makes way more sense. You had me worried.
