eCollegeFinder, map savants, have put out yet another fun-to-look-at map. This one shows which colleges in the US are the greenest, most eco-friendly in the country. The criteria for each school is “A high number of LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certified buildings and sustainability initiatives.”

So, not necessarily “Which schools are full of dirty, vegetable oil-powered car driving, tree hugging hippies?” but which schools are making the greatest effort to reduce their carbon footprint and make the world a better place. Let’s check it out:

If you’re wondering why the University of Wyoming is the only school to ever represent its state on this map every single time, it’s because the University of Wyoming is the only four-year institution in Wyoming.
