‘Bad Boys 3’ Has A New Release Date (Again)

Back in August 2016, I was the bearer of bad news for my fellow “Bad Boys” aficionados. At that time, the release date for the third film in the franchise had been pushed back to January 12, 2018. Obviously, that date came and went with no Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, and it seemed as though our dream of a third movie was officially dead.

But I have good news for you, my friends! On Wednesday, Sony Pictures announced that “Bad Boys for Life” will drop on January 17, 2020. There had been some rumors that the movie was a no-go, but then Will Smith re-ignited our hopes last month with a birthday Insta post to Martin Lawrence:

Will Smith asks, and Will Smith shall receive. “Entertainment Weekly” reports that the third installment will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who have directed the films “Black” and “Gangsta” and that filming should begin in late 2018 or early 2019. To hold you over until 2020, here’s the best car chase scene of all time..
