I believe that it’s important to challenge yourself. Whether it’s setting a new personal best on the row machine or kicking the Juul habit you developed over the holidays, you cannot settle into complacency. This brand, PGP, is an extension of all of us, and that is why I’ve taken the book on content distribution and thrown it in my chiminea. We are officially announcing our entry into LinkedIn, a business- and employment-oriented social networking service that operates via websites and mobile apps. Let’s go.
Why?
Why would a brand that has seen unprecedented growth in 2017 on Instagram and in the world of podcasting shake things up with such a bold move?
That’s the question I’ve been answering here for the last week as I’ve attempted to rollout this initiative. And make no mistake, there has been significant pushback from corporate. In fact, I was told “it’s your ass” if this goes south. So needless to say, my job is on the line here. But to answer the question, the purpose of this endeavor is to keep it fresh. Finding new ways to distract you is what I live for, and I think we can do this in a way that you haven’t seen before.
Who?
Will, W.R. Bolen, Madison and I are all admins, so if you see something on there, one of us posted it. Unless it’s awful or offensive, in which case we were hacked.
What?
Hell if I know, man. Rumor has it that “Morning Coffee Thoughts” will be making appearances, but Ross Bolen is a notoriously unpredictable. You can’t tame that beast. All we can do is bring you tent, some from the vault and some new. There’s a new world out there that’s just begging to be hit with high-level, full-throttle PGP content. It is our duty to provide it to them.
Where?
Oh, it’s on LinkedIn. A bit redundant, but I need to include this for the sake of uniformity.
Call to action
Go follow us. Unless you have a burner account (power move), you won’t get the luxury of Internet anonymity, but it’s refreshing to see real people interact with the brand. Hey, maybe this turns into a good networking tool for you. Peejers, Touchers, Clam-Fam all getting together and endorsing each other. The ceiling is the roof..
You’re asking us to merge our professional identities, our real identities and the fake identities we’ve crafted on this website? Seems like a dangerous mix.
“That’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off for them.”
Wow, you know that quote? Incredible!
Is mybookie going to set an over/under on first person to lose their job from this?
Connect with me, David.
Worst things that have ever been DM’d to you via LinkedIn. I’ll go first, solicitation of a FWB relationship from a dude at a firm I interned with in college.
I’m all in for Morning Coffee Thoughts
I just checked out LinkedIn for the 1st time. I’m going to stick with Twitter. Saw my son Don Jr has a profile. Don Jr apparently thinks he can make up titles like EVP to sound important(@ Dave, “Director” of Digital Content). Might have to talk with Don Jr……
Your grandparents’ would be proud
^it appears some people don’t listen to the poddy
