The Sunday Scaries is the anxiety and feeling of dread that sets in on Sunday nights with the impending return to the office, school, or work. Read Part I.
While I’m not the world’s biggest My So-Called Life fan, Claire Danes knocked it out of the park when she said, “There’s something about Sunday night that really makes you want to kill yourself … and that creepy ’60 Minutes’ watch that sounds like your whole life ticking away.” For anyone that’s ever dealt with the Scaries, you know exactly what type of knowledge she’s spitting there.
My Sunday nights consist of the following: sports on mute, a movie on my laptop, and finally, falling asleep to relaxing music to keep my Sunday Scaries at bay only to wake up at 3 a.m. to a work nightmare. Over two years ago, Big Cat of Barstool Sports fame jokingly tweeted a one-song playlist titled “Sunday Night Kill Myself” that consisted only of “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac. The bluntness of his playlist’s name inspired me to put together my own version of the playlist after an especially Scary Sunday.
Between John Hiatt’s “Have A Little Faith In Me” and Lyle Lovett singing, “I hate to be alone on Sunday,” Sunday Night Kill Myself encompasses all the feelings you need to channel to make it to Monday morning when all your nightmares become realities.
Playlist not working? Fine, here’s a video of endangered otter pups playing at the LA Zoo:
Just remember: you crushed it this weekend, and no one can take that away from you. .

If you consider falling asleep on the couch 3/4 through Jaws on Saturday night, “crushing it,” then yeah, I crushed it.
Colin Hay will always make me think of Scrubs… That show had the best music in the game
You should do a Cribs video comparing the Panic Room to the Cat Cave.
Anything Talking Heads is good news.
I needed that otter video more than you know
