    – cheating – follow dillon’s advice. Be prepared for your work buddy to be mad at you initially.

    – sister – you gotta pick her up. Family comes firsts

    – holidays – nothing worse than the first time you tell your mom you aren’t coming home. If it end up being a serious relationship/marriage y’all will make it work. We are double dipping twice this year.

    – Eskimo bros – tell your brother and then make a joke of it during your speech.

    – apartment – knock on their door if you a real one

Go see the Alamo. Hotel Emma at the Pearl Brewery is a cool place to spend some time. There are good places to eat/drink right around there. The best Mexican food is Rosario’s, just south of the river walk. Contrary to popular belief, the breakfast taco orginated in south Texas, not Austin. Stop by any of the taquerias in town to try one out. Let me know if you have anything specific you are looking for.

Tonight we are cooking at home and staying in. Salt Fat Acid Heat is replacing the usual Guy Fierri Friday. Peaky blinders after the wife falls asleep.

Big plans for Saturday. It’s Wurstfest time in central Texas. Beer, sausage, and polka all damn day.

As usual, Sunday is for recovery.

    Take care

I’m headed to Funky Town, Texas for a weekend with the in-laws. Should be pretty low key. I’m hoping to watch most of the football and spend none of the money. Home early on Sunday for some perfect grilling weather.

    Take care

Low key tonight. Staying in and watching a movie / meateater after my wife falls asleep.

Tomorrow we are going to hit up a few hill country wineries and a bbq joint (fingers crossed for coopers). Hopefully the rain holds off.

Sunday will be a cleaning day and prepping for our trip.

Speaking of – I’ll be in Tennessee next week wed-sun. Half the time in gatlinburg and half in Nashville. I’m open to recs for both.

    Take care.

A few things here(in general, not specifically to Taylor)…

    – If you think you need help, seek it. Professional help is a real game changer. Most insurances cover at least part of it. My experience mainly involved vocalizing my problems and talking my way to a solution.

    – Find something you truly enjoy and do it. When we were younger, it was drinking. “Let’s go drink and do this.” “We are going to pregame this function that doesn’t need to be pregamed.” Now, as adults, we can’t do that (as often). We have to find another escape. Whether it be golf, painting, guitar, or playing chess with the folks in the park, there are millions of options to keep us engaged and excited in melancholy that is our day-to-day lives.

    – physically struggle. I was listening to joe rogan (ring that fucking bell) on how beneficial it is to exhaust yourself physically. You learn to embrace the difficulties and challenge yourself. It doesn’t have to be heavy weights or martial arts either. Just something that makes you sweat a bit.

That’s all i’ve got right now. I think this article is great and probably resonates with many readers. Lean when you need to and let’s power through.

I hear you. Apologies if I came off harsh. On the other hand, having precooked meals is an easy win when you are coming up short in other areas.
