My girlfriend is 2 years older than me and makes ~$20k more/year. Sometimes it makes me frustrated with my position, but I don’t think it really gets to me. She has always praised how I’m doing in my career and we split just about everything 50/50. Frankly, I couldn’t afford to do the fun things we do paying for both of us.
My advice would be to pay your own way (once the two of you are comfortable) and establish that you’re proud of where the other person is in their career as well despite the monetary differences.
Texas-centric content on the pods is starting to kill my interest. Hearing about restaurants I’ve never been to/will probably never go to, events I’ll never attend, teams I really don’t care about, and opinions on cities I don’t visit is wearing on me. I get it, you live there and a large portion of your audience is in or near the state, but it’s getting old. Not sure if I’m an outlier here on not, just wanted to bring it up.
Tonight, picking up my new hunting rifle and meeting up with an out-of-town friend. Tomorrow, pumpkin patch, pigs, and an engagement celebration at the bar. Sunday, winter boot shopping, football, and impending dread.
I work with a guy named Noel and he pronounces it “Knoll” or “Nole” (like the animal that digs up your yard but with an n”. He’s from Minnesota, so if you’re near there I’m betting he rolls the same way.
Already know all the answers:
1) Yes
2) None of the above
3) Breweries, small shows, occasional travel
4) Whenever you want a free meal or to visit the pets
5) Only my bed, apparently
Fuck yeah, Will. A fiscally responsible and best-practices food take. Non-bacon burger bois stand up.
That said, I did overpay for a burger at a fancy restaurant that my girlfriend’s high-maintenance-birthday friend picked just to avoid more expensive options.

I would absolutely add the Blues Brothers and the Commitments
Nothing like having the privilege to free-fart only to momentarily forget and let one rip in an Uber.

I’ve never seen “You’ve Got Mail”… ironic.

Idk man, I really like using coozies. Doesn’t make me cool or anything, just prefer them.
Side note- I’m currently in ATX for the first time and was not prepared for dirty sixth.
“Nothing could kill a budding relationship faster than a group of friends expressing their concerns.”
Or, like, nailing someone else at a wedding
We do a good enough job of that ourselves, trust me.
Flying out Friday, donning my 2018 National Champions OSU hat all weekend long. See you there, friend.

Will be an away fan in the horseshoe next weekend… wish me luck
I saw Kid Rock live on Sunday and that man would make a sober person feel hammered. Dude can put on a show.

We have different definitions of the word affordable.
Ehh. I’ll stick with Rainier.
