This is just a ridiculous thing to say out loud. I know several 50< bird dogs that out-work dogs twice their size and are invaluable in thick cover. I may have agreed with you had you said under 15lbs or so. Those purse/lap dogs…ugh.
If you decide to get more than one, get them both from the same litter if possible. Makes things a lot easier as far as not having them fight etc, and having them the same age avoids getting one past puppy stage only to start it all over again with another pup.

That seems a bit harsh. Just because a particular breed is prone to certain health problems does not mean that every dog in said breed will have those problems. He wants to do what’s best for the pup and that is all that matters.

Not cruel at all. It’s for their safety. My dogs are in their crates while I’m at work and when we travel.
