Having a nice airport wine after leaving the office early. Heading to Kansas City for a family wedding. Seeing family, meeting the newest baby, and KC barbecue – should be a good trip.
Grocery shopping together makes a boring chore suck less, it takes fewer trips to get your stuff inside, and everybody is happy with the week’s food options. Bad take this time.
Just committed to ‘burb life and it’s been great. Still plenty of bars and restaurants but without the long waits. Commute gives me more time to read or listen to podcasts. Only downside is that going to happy hour means I won’t be home until at least 9pm.
To the guy with the office weddings: give them a nice bottle of wine or restaurant gift card after they’re back from the honeymoon. They’ll appreciate it without feeling like they should have invited you to the wedding. Or help plan an office wedding shower/lunch.
Rent the Runway is an absolute godsend, especially for black-tie. Nobody wants to be tagged in the same thing all wedding season & I know I don’t have the budget or closet space to get something different every year.
My husband has the same name as my Dad & it’s not weird at all. I don’t call my Dad by his first name & it’s not confusing when we visit family. My friends did joke that he should take my last name when we got married, but that’s the only joke ive heard about it. Definitely not a dealbreaker.
Is she on top of the comforter or under the sheets? Huge difference.
Finally getting in-unit laundry made me feel like a real adult.
Equinox is 100% worth it.
This was excellent & inspiring. Taking a page from your book this week.

This is too real. I’m constantly between a 3 and a 7 – been job hunting since March.
Want to hit Nice Move but you’re at 69 so I just can’t do it.
Micah Mondays are the best Mondays.

My go-to on public transportation.
Too real.
Every day is Scaries Day when you fucking hate your job. Except Saturdays. Those are the best.

Currently playing high Zelda for the first time in my life & it is a fantastic couples activity.
That made me so uncomfortable. What a psycho.

I’ve been waiting for you to make fun of this series. The columns are insufferable but I still read them every time they show up on my feed.
