Haha. Sounds about right. I didn’t know either until 9 months ago when a friend of mine moved here. Neat little place though with a decent Belgian brewery (Bruz) inside. I’ll pass that recommendation on to the girlfriend so I’m sure it won’t be long before I visit.
Another Denver PGPer here. I second PC’s comments. A lot to love in this city. You’ll enjoy it. Been here a little over four years myself and recently moved to the Midtown neighborhood.
Good point. I live in Denver so I usually ski the Vail resorts (so the high prices are my own damn fault). Typically get the Epic Local pass so normally don’t care about the prices. This year I didn’t and now I have friends coming into town that want to ski Breck…hello $167 day passes.
Correct, and completely agree with your comment. I come in at 6:30 am because it lets me leave by 4 (9/80 schedule). A later start time would always be nice, but beating traffic on the way home is probably nicer.
I moved to Denver from Texas about 3.5 years ago after school and knew one person. My advice? One of the easiest ways to meet people is join a recreational kickball/softball/whatever league. You meet people and you usually play flipcup after so a win-win. Depending on the job, you’ll probably also meet people from work that are a similar age group. Hell, they may even already have a kickball team to join (that’s how it went for me). Agree with Dorn on the positives. Housing kinda sucks though. Weather is awesome. And the beer is good.
Where are you getting tacos from that the tortillas always break? Flour or GTFO.
Not only are you a flake if you cancel on week long plans for the “rush”, but you’re also kind o…definitely a dick.

Did no one else think how delicious the stock photo avocado looks? No one?
Party bus to the casinos outside of Denver tonight. Lamenting the losses the rest of the weekend.
Could also drive an hour south to Luling and get City Market.

Where the heck are you finding $85 lift tickets?
Typing that up, I thought it was pretty straightforward?
Shouts to Kimberly.
Meant TT for Turnpike Troubadours, Dill. Did attend Tech though which had me genuinely confused.

The thought of coming into work at 8:30 is frightening. Lucky y’all.
Most underrated comment of the day.
You beat me to it.
Agree. Only time I bought BR was when my girlfriend worked there and I got to use her discount. Hello “domestic partner”.
I can’t tell if he’s being serious or not…

Can get behind this take.
Couldn’t agree me. Now i’m dead set on picking one up on the commute home.
