There are a ton. Just stay away from Goode Company. Overrated and many more family owned joints. Pizzitola’s, Gatlin’s, Killen BBQ (bit of a drive from downtown), The Brisket House, and more. Also grab a burger at Lankford Market or Hubcap Grill.
KC should be higher but I don’t know about 1 or 2. The reason Boosh knocks KC is the reason I love it – variety. We don’t focus on one meat like Memphis, or the Carolinas. Central Texas is definitely number one though.
No negativity needed here. Also, we’re not mean to our writers, we support them (except for someone living in a bomb ass apartment in Seattle). Also, don’t go throwing the R word around and then have multiple grammatical errors. Just sayin.
Agreed. Chili’s v TGIFridays makes way more sense. And given the portion sizes at Cheesecake Factory, you’re guaranteed to have leftovers, which I just consider to be free food.
I’m going to get meh’d for this, but flying business class is often times more comfortable (not convenient, only comfortable) than private. There’s not as much room in those seats as you may think.
You could turn this into a little series of sorts. Power Ranking cities, hidden gems, total shitholes, expand on your karaoke experience in Bozeman, etc.
Was going to recommend the beard lube too. I don’t wash / shave with it every day due to the price, but it’s a great product that you’ll enjoy on hand.
I agree with you on daily habits, those are pretty evident just from dating someone. I think the biggest challenge is you can’t leave when you’re fighting. You can’t take a few days at your own place to chill out or not speak for 36 hrs. Climbing into the same bed at midnight on a Tuesday after arguing for a few hours is tough. That’s when reality set in for me.
I have a few:
1. Drunkenly high-fived Dominique Wilkins in a New Orleans hotel while shouting “human highlight real.” He smiled and kind of laughed.
2. Was on a flight with Thomas Ian Nicholas (Henry Rowengartner) a few months back but was too hungover to say anything.
3. At a wedding in Florida during some baseball meetings and Joe Torre walked by a buddy and me and gave us a nod.
4. Met and spoke with JJ Watt for a few minutes. Pretty nice guy, but this is before he went douche central about 12 months ago.
I’ve had multiple single friends go from renting in the burbs to getting their own apartment or condo downtown and they love it. Save money for a few years, get a promotion or two, move back downtown, find 23-year-olds who are impressed with your $70+ K per year salary and all that goes with it.
The jokes help, but being a bad golfer myself, I find being honest about it playing as fast as possible is key. I’m also a hell of a lag putter and have shown many a line in the corporate scrambles.
Blue Bell makes an incredible peppermint ice cream around the holidays if you’re lucky enough to live where they distribute. It puts Breyers, Dryers, Dove, Hagen Das, and Ben & Jerry’s all to shame.
My commute is the only time each day I’m completely alone and I love it. PGP

How would you describe Lena Dunham?

I’m torn on this one.

I wish I could “nice work” this more once.

No love for Peyton Manning this morning?
No need to debate. We’re all on the same team here.
Hey, deFries. Can’t close out a Friday with zero comments. Hope everyone at Grandex has a great weekend.
I work for a family company. My future boss is currently a sophomore in college deciding who to ask to fall formal.
