Haha, I admire your trolling commitment! I saw a few of the reruns on TBS back in high school in between classes, but I never saw any of the longer HBO versions. I was more of the Serena vs. Blair generation. (FTR, definitely a Blair).
I would recommend the Gatsby gala at Sequoia, the International Spy gala at the Washington Plaza, or the DC Brunch Club gala at the Carnegie Library. Other than that, a bunch of the bars have regular/cheaper events (Public in Dupont isn’t terrible), but it’s going to be hard to bar hop/show up somewhere without a ticket!
