Went to a wedding with a choreographed dance entrance for the bridal party, pre recorded messages played during the father/daughter and mother/son dances, and the maid of honor rapped her speech. We basically ghosted the friendship and didn’t invite them to our wedding the year after.
I always get my wife some sort of girls getaway with a friend or two of hers for her Birthday. I get huge brownie points for being “thoughtful” and then I go golfing and have a weekend to myself. Its a big win win.
Had to go to a bachelor party for a guy from work. Last minute thing in the shitty town we lived in at the time. His Fiancé found out that we had gone to the strip club when he had told her we were only going to the casino. She called off the wedding via text and he sat in a chair and cried until I carried him to an uber. They got back together and had literally the worst wedding I’ve ever attended (cash bar, outdoors, DURING THE SUPERBOWL!) A year later when he fucked up at work I strongly recommended to our boss he be fired….he was.
I got into home brewing two years ago. Love drinking my own recipes and trying to recreate my favorite craft beers. Plus I can brew IPA and dark ales for about a buck a beer, though you are making 50 in a batch so your committed to drinking a lot….not a hard commitment make.
Hooked up with a girl for two months while studying aboard in college. Found out she had a boyfriend back home about 2/3 the way through. I agree with you its not your responsibility if you are not in the relationship. They got engaged recently, do I send a gift?
My old boss used to highly encourage us to take a cab to work on Friday since he made being at the bar by 3pm mandatory and would openly mock anyone who sober enough to drive…I really miss working for that guy. New Boss PGP
