I can see how that would work out, but in my case where that isn’t an option, I get to come in to work a half day Chrsitmas Eve Monday, off Tuesday, then back for three days, work the next Monday, off Tuesday again, then back at it for another three days.
Second. My cousin got one sitting in his truck, door open, with a bunch of other people around/hanging out in the yard/driveway. Their reasoning was because he had the keys in his coat pocket and was in the drivers seat. He also had a history with them, so I’m sure they used any leverage they had against him
The restaurant setup is pretty awesome, except I’m not a fan of the stack of paper towels. Inevitably the top one has wet fingermarks from the last guy grabbing a handful. Best setup I’ve seen was at a resort in Mexico. Looked basically the same as the last pic, but had rolled up cotton washcloths, then a wicker hamper to toss them in next to the door.
Not bougie at all, but when I worked for the parks and rec department in high school the maintenance building bathrooms had this stuff called “cherry bomb”. Basically just thick hand soap, but with sand and double the fragrance. Loved that stuff, so much better than gojo
This was a tough one to get through… My wife and I got married and flew to Mexico on a Saturday, got home the following Friday, and that Sunday drove to pick up our English Bulldog puppy that would be with us for the next 8 years. He was literally there from the beginning. A couple months ago a virus disabled him and within two days he went from his usual self, to unable to walk and barely breathing. I know I’ve lived a blessed life so far, but that was by far the hardest day I’ve ever had. I’m not an emotional person at all, wedding, first child, funerals, etc., to that point nothing had ever broke me. But holding that damn dog while he got put down messed me up for good. We still have pictures of him all over the house and can’t help but get misty looking at them. Dogs are one of the last good things left in the world.
came here to say this… I don’t get it. If it’s that late, surely the risk of being seen in minimal. Outside is the best after a long night out. Cold, refreshing air on your face, and absolutely no worry of having to be accurate, or pissing on the leftovers.
High school quarterfinal football tomorrow. Rest of the weekend will be spent decorating for Christmas. Might take some rowdy gentleman shirts to the local good samaritan. Who knows.
Opening weekend of firearms deer season in MO, so might take the wife out to see if she can shoot something. I already have two in the freezer from early archery, so I may take the long weekend to do some last chance yard work around the house. Going to be cold, so might trade out weekend smoked meat for a big pot of chicken and dumplings
Glad others are doing this. I really like leaving a bottle in my truck so it get’s cold, makes it good and thick, really coats the throat on the way down. Also probably rotting my insides, but it gets me through the day
Also add all first responders/EMT/Firefighters into this. Every time I see our small town crew who looks like the “before” photo of gimmicky late night home gyms, I just tell myself I need to be ok with dying if I am ever in a situation where I need their help.
Is this really that shocking? It seems like “bad” is always louder than “good”, so regardless of party, whoever is winning then gets exposed for how “bad” they are, then everything flips. Then two years later all we hear is how “bad” they are, then we flip back. Doesn’t it just come down to being angry at whoever happens to be in office, and anger being a more intense emotion than happiness?
Is there a way to stop it? I feel like I remember laughing at my parents signing up the old landline for the “Do Not Call” list, but now I’m desperate enough to try anything. I’ve been getting 3-5 per day, from both parties
especially when traveling with family that doesn’t drink
also agree with 19th.

and Christmas that falls on Tuesday is about as bad as it gets
And you didn’t even mention RE/PP taxes in December…

Around here they’re called diesels. Love em. Nothing better than an ice cold bud heavy watching a ballgame at Busch Stadium.
