As soon as the clock strikes five me, the wife, and the kiddo are headed to the in-laws lake house for the weekend. Have a bottle of Deep Eddy Grapefruit and some club soda waiting in the fridge for me (S/o 19th hole). Probably take the boat out and get burnt, and maybe try and let mini-me catch a perch or two.
They just built a new covered deck so we will be breaking that in tonight, along with telling the inlaws that grandkid number two is on it’s way. Should be fun!
Playing in both the am and pm flights of a charity 4 man scramble tomorrow, so Sunday will be spent recovering and hopefully watching some ejections at Shinnecock.
The wife turned down weekend at the in-laws lake house for yard work. Not stoked.
Saturday will be spent doing some shrub trimming, hanging some lights and shades on the pergola, and hopefully not getting overly sunburnt. Sunday will hopefully be spent enjoying said pergola while the mini mi splashes in his plastic blue pool with some form of meat on the grill. Should be good.
Put in my two weeks to go to a competitor. Our location is quite a ways away from any corporate office, so it took them 3 days to round up an HR person to come complete my exit, so I had to sit in my office with the shades drawn rejecting phone calls and emails. Said I wasn’t allowed to have any contact with coworkers or customers until my exit was completed, or else I would forfeit my pay.
I like stainless because you can really get rough with the cleanup, whereas you have to be a little more careful with the enamel coated stuff. Also, it seems like the enamel grates are much wider, so grill marks are pretty wide, which means nothing, I just prefer the standard look that stainless gives
In laws are out of the area so no lake house this weekend. Probably mow some grass, invite the kiddo’s friend over for a play date so the moms can gossip and the dads can drink and grill. Midwest already has me wishing for a pool and/or Fall, and it’s only June 1.
An old roommate of mine used to swear by milk after a night out. He’d just grab the gallon from the fridge, take a couple big pulls, and doze off. Supposedly the milk would coat the stomach before all the alcohol soaked in, foregoing the potential hangover/stomach issues the next morning.
