If you’re ever in Baltimore, the “Owl Bar” is a great spot and is 100% authentic- it was a bar prior to prohibition, speakeasy during prohibition, and now bar again.
I reffed high school wrestling for a bit. Generally, the coaches were fine, but wrestling moms upset that I called a pin or didn’t call potentially dangerous when sonny was flat on their back was the worst. Sorry your kid knows how many lights are on the gym’s ceiling ma’am, but a pin is a pin.
In Maryland, HOAs may restrict political yard signs to a time period of 30 days before the Election and seven days after the Election. Generally, HOAs can do time/place/number/size restrictions, but not the actual content of the sign. Suing HOAs is usually a colossal waste of time and you’re more likely than not going to lose – not worth the $250-300 an hour for a land use attorney.
Correct unsuccessful political bombing. Don’t forget the mass shooting attempt of dozens of GOP congressman, (where the third ranking House GOP was shot, a congressional staffer, and two capitol hill police officers), but this is no where close the level of violence the United States saw in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Spot on. I would like to add that our National legislatures (over the last 60 years) have failed to actually pass policy, depending too much on judicial activism to force change, effectively politicizing two branches of government. For example, there’s a gubernatorial candidate in Maryland that literally said he’d appoint State judges to oppose the President. Mind-boggling stuff.
Not to forget, the *actual* political bombings of the late 60s and early 70s by both KKK affiliates and left wingers like Weather Underground! Truly a fascinating period of history.
This is a terrible list. You list the top HBO show “The Wire” at #9 and excluded “The Sopranos” (the show that brought TV into the golden era) and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (the best comedy show of all time. Not to mention Six Feet Under. Further, Ballers over Veep!?!?!?!?!?!?
^ Roe v. Wade is a judicial decision and not even the defining abortion case now, e.g. Casey v. PP. States have the right to regulate for the actual baby when it becomes viable, allowed to regulate in for health/safety of mother prior. It’s why progressive countries in Europe have shifted to limiting abortion to first 16-20 weeks now, unless rape/incest/health of mother. I don’t want to address the clear advocation of eugenics in your closing.
Boat owners foot the bill and encourage it. They’ve won the Teaser’s Cup like 5 straight years. Spent 30k during the 5 day tourney my last year there. It’s a 70′ Viking.
Worked at that Marina during undergrad, the guys from Goin In Deep will literally call the Boat’s owner towards the end of the WMO if they are losing the Teaser’s Cup (most money spent at the bar) by about 5 grand and ask if they can buy more champagne. Top prize is a plastic trophy.
fight with ATLguy one last time?
Buddy, the media business is brutal.
Hey check out the PGP reddit. Most of those questions are answered. Will has Sunday Scaries and Duda has his own site as well.
On the home ownership note – someone should totally do a post on what their experience buying their first home was like. I’d be really interested!

I’m guessing it has to do with cash and the genuinely liking the “pricks.”
also excluded Rome. Ballers and The Duece instead of Veep? My god.

He’ll be at American Enterprise Institute before he goes to Heritage.

Themis online bar prep with hard copy outlines/study material is only $1,500. I feel you on the 3L scaries though.
