Binging on a Budget is my life to a tee. It’s also coupled with the to tired to do the dishes from earlier and actually cook decision to feast on half a jar of peanut butter on a spoon, some pickles, and Baybel cheese wheels. As you can probably tell I’m not a very proud man.

I honestly just skimmed, your comment too your comment. The author never claims the poor are lazy and don’t work hard. He merely states the fact that if literally anyone can do your job then you will not get paid a ton of money because they can find your replacement in a day. Increased wages come from either increased skill requirements or work conditions that make many not want to do the work i.e. ditch digger in the Georgia Summer. There is a considerable difference between working hard without a goal in mind and constructively working. Also I resent the notion that you must be born wealthy to succeed in this country. Does it help? Of course it does, but it is not a prerequisite. My dad runs a barely afloat construction business and my Mom is a teacher. So lower middle class at best. I funded my undergrad through scholarships and working as an RA took care of my housing. I worked damn hard and received a full scholarship to a private law school. Hard work partnered with goals goes a long way in this country, but most in our generation confuse hard work for waiting for theirs.

At least you go somewhere nice. My family reunions are in the hell hole known as Missouri. 50 People squeezing into my 91 year old great grandmothers house. Filled with white trash. Having to hear how your cousin who stepped down as a Dominoes manager because it was to much while raising a kid is better than you because “that’s honest work”. While me being in law school has magically transformed me into an evil, crooked, liar.
