Your friends are not very understanding, but if you wanna go out with them more it helps to not talk about the lack of drinking other than the necessary acknowledgment– I’ve noticed it makes other people feel weird sometimes. I haven’t drank (other than an occasional one drink with dinner) since February and can’t until December due to a med that is hard on the liver, and I still try to go out at least once a weekend (it helps that I offer to DD too). It sucks for sure during it, but by the end of your 28 days you’ll feel a lot better and probably change your habits long term for the better! And with the money you’re saving you can buy a killer new outfit for your return to the wild.
Studied for the bar last summer – can confirm summer studying for an intense exam was awful and you feel like you’re missing out on so much. I tried to take a midday break at lunch everyday to get some sun and avoid losing my mind lol. But once you get through it and pass, you’ll have many more summers to enjoy!
Depends on your state but a charge of indecent exposure/public indecency is a potential risk. If it’s “reckless” you’re looking at lower fines and potential jail time for ~30 days, but if it’s “willful” or “intentional” or you have more on your record, you’re in bigger trouble– big fines, jail time, registration, potential loss of professional licenses or ability to apply for those and certain jobs.
Be careful out there!
To golf guy- see if you can talk to your firm’s marketing person. If there’s some fundraiser golf outings coming up you’d be able to go to, maybe a couple lessons could get written off as a business development expense if they’re feeling generous.
I’m a subscriber to this line of thinking too. I consider it a pretty hefty bill to pay every month. Maybe 40-year old me will be pissed at 26-year old me, but that’s a future me problem. I’m focusing on saving up the 6 months of expenses, then on to the next saving goal for a house and discretionary spending.
In the middle of a medication-required 6 month “sobriety binge”. Love the no hangover weekends and the cash I save by not drinking a bottle of wine nearly every night. Mostly sucks though especially with the summer. You did yours on the perfect month
Luke-warm take because Queen is cool, but I agree that the Beatles are overrated. I can appreciate what they did for the music industry and all that, but I don’t willingly listen to much if any of their music.
Harsh take on Ohio. Mich Ultras at Put in Bay is the game plan this weekend
Went to see it instead of la la land on a third date. It was an interesting choice on our part

I’ve got a wedding in upstate NY in September and an empty plus one… sup?

“I didn’t really need new shoes, but the thought of spending hard earned money impulsively sounded comforting.” Me every weekend at Target
Awesome, you’re about to have so much fun reading them without knowing much of the story. Enjoy!!
Have you seen any of the movies or are you completely new to it?
I’d have to agree – the pasta in all caps seemed like she was trying to be funny and over emphasize it, not end the convo
Sup?

Living without a phone case is truly living. But I can’t handle the anxiety for more than a few days
I go for the ultra-fine, .38. Hoarding two boxes in my desk
I feel like nowadays there’s a significant overlap

I’m not against a wonderful but horribly pretentious rendition of their back stories
