I’m a big believer in hitting the road as soon as possible the final day of the trip, so nothing is more frustrating than sharing a hotel room/house/car or whatever with people who just want to lay in bed or lounge about as long as possible
The only way one of the bigger dudes in the gym will judge you for being skinny is if you’re dicking around on a bench or machine they want to use, or if you’re holding up your shirt in the mirror to check out your “abs”
From one dude with shitty hair genes to another, its time to ditch the swoop and go short. If you’re not ready to commit to a full buzz, have your hair person fade the sides tight and scissor cut the top to leave some length. That way you can ease the transition. Or just go guns hot and shock and awe with a buzz
Fair point. If he decides to commit to this new lifestyle long term, I think there could definitely be friction down the road. However, the amount of times he brought up her weight leads me to believe the issue is more of a “I want a more attractive girlfriend” thing
@gym guy, let me start by saying congrats on the weight loss, that’s a huge thing and you should be proud. That being said, you def have the wrong mindset about this girl. It’s normal for someone going through that kind of transformation to become passionate about fitness and want to incorporate it into other parts of their lives, but it sounds like you’re more concerned about other judging you for, in your mind, being more attractive than your girl. So if you like her, whats the big deal? By all means be there to support her if she decides to get more into fitness, but that’s a decision she has to make.
Old school body part split is the way to go if you’re going for aesthetics. Get a lot of volume while keeping the weight relatively high and you’ll grow.
@ new gym guy. Dorns advice is pretty spot on. 3 days a week full body is a great starting place. If you feel like you’re a little more advanced and like lifting, try 2 days of lower body and 2 days of upper body. You dont necessarily even need cardio if you keep your intensity high and rest times low. And yeah if you take preworkout in the morning you pretty much have no choice but to lift
My younger sister graduates next weekend and is set to make three times what I do but she has to live in the hell hole that is Washington D.C. so I’m not really bothered by it.
#teamdorn for life

Last night I told two friends about the girl I just started dating and this morning she was at the top of both of their suggested friends lists…

Hell is probably just a giant, crowded grocery store
My buddy hasn’t been to work since July 3rd due to the holiday and then his wedding and honeymoon. I can’t imagine what it was like going back today.
Dad made the call to sell ours and I’m pretty hurt

old enough to know day drinking is king, young enough to still want to go out afterwards

Self awareness is key

As much as I want to sleep with the window open, I live on the first floor and I’m not crazy about waking up to a new roommate
