It’s like saying a $40 steak isn’t worth it when you can make it yourself at home. The price is never worth it, but it’s what it costs to have high quality food.
The burger in that picture is $18 and is from 4 Charles Prime Rib (or Au Cheval in Chicago) and not only is it the best burger I’ve ever had but a man in white gloves breaks the yolk for you with a knife, you can’t draw such a hard line on that kind of experience
“She kissed him on the cheek and grabbed his hand, almost in a way that told him that everything was going to be okay”
Narrator: Everything was not going to be okay
Gym guy, eventually you gotta say something to management, you’re paying for that space too. Had a guy who used to do long incline sessions in the same sweats every day and make cardio impossible. It’s an asshole move to go management, but so is not washing your gym clothes, eventually the problem went away (I think he was told to leave)
Money guy obviously does not live in NYC, never sacrifice the 401k but most of my friend group pulls in over 100k and for the most part live paycheck to paycheck
Agree with the greek shirts take, basically anything from my alma mater can only be worn if you go back, the exception being one that’s specifically comfortable during the sunday scaries
Out of shape guy:
As a guy who went from overweight to in shape relatively quickly, you need to decide what kind of shape you want to be in. Do you want to look like you did in high school or do you just want a few pounds off the top (not saying either is better). If it’s the latter then you’re fine with a few days of weights/running and watch the diet, if you want a major overhaul I’d recommend going to CrossFit or some other overpriced class, the financial commitment will force you to make a new habit, or sign of more a half marathon with your buddies a couple of months out, then you’ll have put some money down as incentive to follow through and can be competitive with your friends instead of guys tossing around weights.
Coming back to PGP today is like the first thanksgiving after your parents’ divorce
Can’t possibly have the energy to do it today
Food should taste good sweet potato chips, if you don’t know now you know
Eric’s gonna start punching people at every bar he goes to
Ideal living situation is when a fly out for work during the week and only have roommates on weekends

Consultant is absent because there isn’t an honest answer
Donuts are the easy part to cut out, the tough part is choosing your diet over socializing
Nothing like a sugar crash at 10:30 to make the day drag on, great take

Will definitely gets a half chub every time girl refers to herself as mama, knowing how much it irks us
Getting back in game: awkward venmo requests
That would mean I’ve never made any gym progress

How dare you tease us by even mentioning Todd eloping with Claire

Love when the guy in front of you decides to lean back and you have to type with your laptop in your stomach
