This is a trash take, even while we work during the summers, things are much slower than the rest of the year(except between thanksgiving and new year)
That can happen at an independent shop too though. The nice thing about the dealership is if you don’t like your service advisor, just get somebody different the next time.
Go to the dealership for your oil change. They usually have coupons and they at least give you food and a nice waiting area while they try to push service you don’t need
Totally agree with that. As an Asian, parents pay for more, but generally are more controlling as a result. Especially when it comes to weddings, it’s more about the parents than about the actual bride and groom in many ways. So they’ll usually make you invite many people you don’t want to. Not to turn you away from dating Asian dudes, but something to think about
Sounds like you need some help deciding which ones to go to and which ones to decline. @touching base. You guys need to do a segment on what you all consider when deciding whether or not to attend a wedding.
Do you feel like it actually made a difference for your earnings/advancement? I recently was chatting with my boss and she tells me that she gives ZERO advantage to people with graduate degrees. It’s all about experience for her (I’m sure many hiring managers think this way)
That’s most of it the education industry. That’s why I’ve pledged to never donate a penny to my Alma mater. I’m paying them for the service they provided me. It’s not like I’m going to donate to Toyota just because I like their cars
That’s good advice. I feel like whenever I complain about my job my dad just pushes me to go to graduate school without really telling me what’s it’ll do for me besides keep me miserable.
Sounds like they should’ve used honeyfund

This isn’t goddamn Europe.
Most of it is convenience and the fear of messing something up. However, for air filters I agree it’s easy enough to just do those on your own
Ideally, I’d know an independent mechanic that specializes in the brand. But with the coupon, the oil change at the dealer ends up being the best deal

“Can I speak to you in private?” The last time I was asked this my boss walked me into a conference room to lay me off
I’d say John Kreese is more the villain than Johnny Lawrence. Kreese is the one who teaches his students that kind of behavior
Have you watched Cobra Kai, much better than the original IMO
Take a 3 day weekend when things are slow, especially around minor holidays like Columbus day

That’s a huge ass burden for one family
From my experience, it’s usually been split between the couple, and both sets of parents.

I have, a second degree just doesn’t seem worth it to me. As an Asian, it’s more of a cultural expectation than anything else
I figured, I’m just venting about my situation
