I’m all for giving people the benefit of the doubt or some empathy in times of need, but I have little to give for someone who obviously got out of a heavy van while leaving it in neutral and not engaging the parking break.
If, on the other hand, the minuscule possibility of the transmission just imploding occurred, then yes he has my sympathy. At the very least the van looks like it went through the trees and not into one. Now he’ll only probably have to replace the door.
I can’t say I regret working tech support in either the 2nd or 3rd shifts. It was a great time to get school work done or catch up on TV shows. Very rarely did calls actually come in, and the difficult ones were pretty much escalated as standard practice since they were usually emergencies I couldn’t fix (for various reasons).
The money wasn’t bad and the gym was usually empty when I went, but I was tired a lot more than I am with a standard job and the difficulty of maintaining a social life did wear on me.
Yep I was never “vested” in Friends, especially not when it was on the air. My only serious gripes with the finale were the compressed nature and the actual final scenes. It was a jerky amalgam of old footage and new footage, and the actual writing and phrasing were awkward.
You’ve got to be *very* careful with #3. Bringing up that kind of angle really comes off as an asshole move trying to impose a power dynamic that wasn’t there before. Major purchasing decisions should be discussed before they are made, and patterns of purchase that end up as major purchases fall into that realm.
If you’re dating someone, why do they even have access to your bank account in the first place? People need to see if they can manage their own money before they dictate to their SO how it goes down. I love my GF, but I can’t think of a reason why she should be touching money I earned until we get married.
Problem with that being that you are most likely tagged in a bunch of pictures which you did not upload. No way to access those short of saving them from FB and organizing them.
I think you’re kind of selling the lack of action comedies short. The Other Guys was phenomenal, but you also missed Tropic Thunder and 21 Jump Street. Even movies like The Avenger and Iron Man had plenty of comedy in them. Hollywood has also tried to roll out horrible movies like the mall cop duo as action comedies too. Sometimes the options just suck.
You’re right, though, that we are seeing a lot of “gritty” movies and reboots. That’s just a cyclical thing. We saw these types of movies in the late 60s and 70s too (Godfather, Dirty Harry, Clockwork Orange, Apocalypse Now, et al). There weren’t many good action comedies coming out then either.
I would start off by saying, if you don’t have some flowers or something shiny in your pocket when the argument starts, the best you can hope for is a graceful loss.
Best part of Cabin in the Woods is when Hemsworth jumps his motorcycle into the energy fence. My GF happened to disagree, so I made her sleep on the couch.

Once you put enough money into one, you’re allowed to capitalize the K
Have you ever seen the Big Lebowski?
What if you met them through friends at a bar?

You have to put money into the 401K for it to be worth anything.

A company card is still going to have your name on it. Well at least every single company card I’ve ever been issued has had my name on it.
Well, that’s just like … you’re opinion man.
Inspect element is your friend

I dig #4 though.
Deep thoughts here. I had hoped this would be obvious to anyone past the age of 12.

Lunch has been cancelled due to lack of hustle. Deal with it.

I’m assuming you’re not talking about Ruth’s Chris, because it doesn’t close at 9. Maybe they just wanted you to leave early.
