That’s pretty much my life. 2.5 years in the burbs saving money and laying off $40k in student loans. Granted I’m now blowing like $1800 a month on an apartment but single city life is worth it.
I’m moving from a house in the suburbs to a high rise apartment in the city soon. I can tell you the two things I’m most happy about are no more yard work and not paying $200+ a month on commuting.
I don’t mean go off on a Youtube worthy rant. Just tell them, I’m leaving because I don’t feel as though my skills and contributions aren’t recognized and appreciated. Simple.
I respect you for not being rash and quitting on the spot. Keep banking those paychecks while you’re on the job hunt putting in minimal effort at your current spot, worked fine for me. Make sure you let your employer know exactly why you’re leaving too, feels good.
I just shelled out $200 to go out with a fairly large couple group in Chicago. Can’t say I’m pleased with my decision making on this one.
