Yeah I’ve lived on the east side of the state my whole life other than college in Bloomington, but I’m ready to get near a large city. It’s close to Chicago without the outrageous cost of living (I also explored an office location there but it’s ridiculously priced anywhere) so it’s an easy day/weekend trip to the city via the train. Weather sucks (tonight it looks like 10″) but it’s a pretty central location to a lot of different cool places and very up and coming.
Yeah I’ll be opening up an office in GR this coming fall and I’m so-so about it. The business culture is up and coming but the hipster population is unbearable. Luckily my finance business will more than likely never cross paths with hipsters and I’ll be able to “mind my own business.”
Hope we can keep the content coming on this god awful day. A pair of ‘sodes of dudes doing business and touching base would be ideal rn to get me to and through lunch.
It’s basically gonna just be another big crapshoot every single year like the BCS was. At least the BCS was virtually all computer generated and not biased. People wanted the “human element” added to the selection, and they got it. Trouble is, they still bitch and moan. “But make it an 8 team playoff” they say. Then we’re just going to complain about the teams ranked 9+ who didn’t get in. People are going to whine about this every single year until football is no longer; it’s what sports fans do.
Probably an unpopular opinion but I couldn’t give less of a shit about Tiger since he cheated on his wife and all that. Maybe I’m just salty from personal experience, but there are many more deserving golfers to root for. Plus he’s washed up, let’s be honest he’ll never actually compete on day 4 again.
I’ve always wondered if there have always been people like her but were never given the attention because social media or really any types of instant media never existed, or if this is an evolutionary thing where people are becoming dumber and more insufferable.
I moved home a year ago after I graduated assuming it wouldn’t be for long (I didn’t have a job but was killing interviews.) I never even unpacked my shit. Well here I am, a year later, still living in the basement but getting out as soon as I complete my study program. One of the most frustrating and unfulfilling years of my life. It’s not like living at home is bad, but moving back home after being out of state 6 hours away at state school school for 4 years is less than ideal, especially when short term turns into long term.
Maybe I’m really weird, I probably am, but thinking about a situation when you’re about to get down with a chick and she tells you her “daddy is a preacher” rustles my jimmies. That’s some next level “bad boy” shit.
I have an 04 Jeep Liberty and would like to get a new car next fall. Been looking at the Accords and for some reason they just seem cool. They are about as mediocre of a car you can get, but they look pretty nice on the inside and have great gas milage. Been debating between that or a Jeep Cherokee since I live in the north and I would have a hard time giving up 4WD and towing capacity.
Recently subscribed to HBO Now. One of the best decisions I’ve made. Netflix has some good shows that I want to continue to watch, but HBO is just killing it right now.
Yeah my firm uses STC and I did the study program the firm made for us. Did reasonably well on practice exams which had me passing. Never did so bad on any practice test as I did on the actual, by a long shot. No idea what happened, but now I have a month to review again and pass.
Breaking up with someone before the holidays is odd in itself, but especially since the person you supposedly cared about for the last 2.5 years is going through major stress with must-pass exams in a new career. Pretty selfish in my opinion.
