I work for a University and read emails sent from high school students on a daily basis. I had no idea how dumb and lazy these kids have gotten, i.e. “u” for “you”, “2” for “to”, “plz” for “please”, etc., etc. Sadly, these are the kids who feel the most entitled to earn admission. Our generation is the last generation to learn proper English.
