tee time with a buddy this evening followed by dinner with our wives.
lake day tomorrow. it’s going to be a hot one so i’ll be sure to dive deep into that case of miller lites. I might fire up the grill or i might order a pizza and fall asleep before it arrives. to be determined.
sunday will include chuch, a nap and not catching up on work.
I’m here for this. The grocery store is my escape, my safe space if you will. I enjoy bringing my own shopping beer, talking with the butcher, and checking out the veggies (and moms) in the produce section.
I had labrum repair as well plus sports hernia. I can lift upper body, run and swing a golf club. That’s about it. Still limited on leg and core exercises and rec sports.
In the past two years, I have made exactly one connection deep enough to be considered a strong friendship. That took months and months to develop and we worked together. It ain’t easy. I know the struggle.
Tonight is going to be low low key. Dinner at home with some wine. Probably a movie – open to Netflix recommendations.
Tomorrow we plan on getting up early for an am hike. I’ve got some work to catch up on but I plan on three man weaving that shit with the us open and first crack at smoking ribs on the new pit. Concert in the pm with new friends. I’ll probably embarrass my wife by drinking too much.
Lunch with the old man on Sunday and back home for final round coverage.
Unpopular opinion: Work hard, even if you aren’t in your dream job. I was in a position that I hated and was miserable everyday. Once I got over myself, I realized that my unhappiness did not relieve me of my responsibilities. I started working harder and everything changed. I started making more money, I enjoyed my days more, I felt a sense of accomplishment, and most importantly, my customers noticed and one of them offered me a job. I now have a new role, better career path, higher salary, and more responsibility.
TLDR – work hard and good things will come to you.

If your buddy invites you out on his boat, chip in for gas. $20 a head at least. Also, bring some extra brew dogs to share with the captain.
My first tough time as well.

What kind of hip surgery did you have? I’m 8 months out on mine and still not back to 100%

19th, you seem like a pretty cool internet dude. I’d be happy to drink some beers and/or play some (bad) golf with you if you aren’t ever in Austin.

Came here to post this. The ultimate power move is commandeering the grill.

Open to any and all recommendations. The last two shows we watched were Wind River and Ali Wong’s new standup (highly recommend both of those).
Sorry to hear, my man. I hope the insurance bs gets resolved quickly and y’all find peace of mind.
