Uber drivers have to put up with a lot of shit. I mean, the main reason for Uber’s success is that drunk people can’t figure out how to hail a taxi. So I imagine a lot of people who chauffer an Uber spend an inordinate amount of time listening to people talk really loudly about how badly they wanna fuck their boss, and cleaning vomit out of their backseat. So now that Spotify has announced that they’ve created a way for Uber users to DJ their ride, I imagine Uber drivers are just shaking their heads in sadness.
The way it works is simple. If you get matched with a “music-enabled” Uber, you can choose songs from a pre-made playlist, your own playlists, or find something new. As soon as your car arrives, it’ll be bumping the tunes you’ve chosen, and will continue to do so until you arrive at your destination. Because Uber drivers apparently don’t put up with enough shit without having to listen to your terrible music.
