We are just a few days away from the year’s greatest sporting event. There will be tackling, ball throwing, good commercials and some real cuties playing the game. Plus probably some licking and peeing. Not the Super Bowl, you pervs. I’m talking about the Puppy Bowl, because who cares about grown men playing with a ball when you can watch adorable puppies do it?
This year, you can get in on the puppy love, even if you aren’t responsible enough to own a dog. If you live in Atlanta, Baltimore, Cleveland, Dallas, DC, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Phoenix or Seattle, you can have a four-legged friend join you for all of the Puppy Bowl action, and maybe even host your own game. Uber partnered with Animal Planet and local animal shelters in those cities for #UberPuppyBowl and provide puppies ON DEMAND during the big game.
Here’s how it works, according to the press release:
Open your Uber app on Wednesday, January 28 (TODAY) between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Request the “PUPPIES” option in your app. In DC? Enter promo code DCpuppies to unlock the option in your app.
Easy, right? It’s $30 for each 15 minutes of puppy playtime, which seems a bit steep, but every dollar from each puppy visit is donated directly to the participating animal rescue organization in each city. So get your friends together and pitch in for at least an hour of puppy play time, you cheap bastards. It’s for a good cause.
Oh, and if you fall in love with one of your puppy visitors and decide that maybe you can give up blacking out on some random’s couch on Saturday night to instead go home and let the dog out, you’re in luck – almost all of the puppies participating are up for adoption. You could use the companionship..

$120 / hour? Way to get my hopes up.
If you want to be the boss, you gotta pay the cost.
Apparently it’s already sold out in DC
In Dallas it was happening today from 11-3.
