Nutrition & Food Manager Liv Langdon from Onnit joined us to discuss all things health and nutrition. She fielded questions from us and our readers which included (but were not limited to) Will’s Whole 30 diet, Dave’s dream of being in keto, Dillon’s metabolism and how much red wine he’s allowed to drink every night, meal planning and why it sucks, which organic products you shouldn’t spend more on, butter coffee, and which liquors you should drink if you don’t want to be a disgusting piece of shit.
Enjoy.

Suh Liv?
“Pickle back” in most bars I’ve been to is just a shot of pickle juice that you take as a chaser for a shot. Typically, I’ve seen people do vodka, and most commonly whiskey. From personal experience, it makes shitty whiskey tolerable to take shots of, and is a good shot to order if your group of friends are cool with pickles and sick of fireball.
Will saying “truth” after Liv talks about metabolism slowing down in your late 20s cracked me up. Come on bruh, you had the dad bod before 26. Don’t lie to us.
Biggest takeaway is this podcast is pro-orangutans, and that sizzling isn’t that bad for you. Big win for orangutans and Team Sizzle.
Diets are meant to fail, that is how the industry sustains itself.
Eat to live, eat things you like, in moderation. Exercise daily. Eat small portions frequently. Stay away from canned/processed/fake foods. Eat whole, real foods. Never eat fast food, be careful eating out. I’ve cooked professionally…A LOT of salt and butter in restaurant food, even $$ stuff. Grow your own food in a home garden (or a community plot, most cities have them).
Organic produce offers absolutely no health benefit over conventionally grown produce. Also, the suggestion that organically grown apples, strawberries, etc have less pesticide residue on them than their conventionally grown counterparts is false.
Hardo
Would.
You failed to discuss if there are any overall health benefits to riding in a Miata
Those benefits don’t matter because when you’re behind the wheel of a Miata, you live forever.
