While a lot of people tend to scroll right past videos on Facebook, I usually like to watch them if they catch my eye and I have the time to kill. So when I saw this Chevy getting ready to pull a sled, I immediately had to tune in. I am a huge tractor/truck pull guy. I go watch them live at least monthly, sometimes more. I love it.
At first, I thought he broke his truck because this clearly wasn’t a great pull. When I saw his girlfriend go running out combined with how weird the flagman was acting, I knew something was going on. Usually when these guys break down mid-pull, they’re pretty pissed off. He seemed pretty excited to make his girlfriend check under his hood, though. That’s when he got busy with the moves, and I was impressed.
I’ve proposed before, which automatically makes me a proposal expert. That’s just how it works. I’m also the PGP in-house redneck. This video is my ideal situation. I’m going to break this down using my expert analysis.
•The girlfriend seems genuinely surprised, which is more impressive than you realize. I acted so oddly in the week leading up to my proposal it’s a surprise that I didn’t blow it. This guy has obviously been keeping this under wraps and I respect that.
•This is very unique. While some people aren’t a fan of the public proposal, this was a new way to propose in front of a crowd without being on the jumbotron at a baseball or basketball game. I’m not a big public proposal guy, but I am a fan of this move.
•There was meaning behind this. This couple probably spends a lot of their time in the garage or at the fairgrounds in this kind of setting, so it was special to get engaged around their community.
•The girlfriend is absolutely ecstatic. This is obviously the most important part of the entire thing, other than her saying yes.
I love the planning, I love the execution, and I love the Chevy. Congratulations to the happy couple!.

Someone who I knew in college had a boyfriend who did drag racing in some professional capacity. He pretended his car was broken down and got out and proposed on the start line, this is an awesome move
I wish I could have been there to yell don’t do it.
* insert Trump “WRONG.gif” * This was just what I needed on a Friday.
thanks for trolling! (:
As someone who has friends & family that pull, that couple definitely spends an obscene amount of time in the garage together.
Thank you for writing this about us! we had no idea the video would be so popular, the pull was actually a full pull at 313.55, either way, were so happy and cant wait to get married! (:
Is the tractor supposed to pull against the truck or is it just dead weight?
“I’ve proposed before…” congrats on the sex.
If you look closely those tires don’t spin during the pull. They are lifted up during the pull so the entire weight acts as a sled. After the pull is complete they lower down and take the weight back to the starting line.
The truck or tractor, depending on the class, pull a weighted sled that moves forward as time progresses, making the trailer heavier as it goes. Think of a flatbed trailer that an 18-wheeler would use but with this giant weight looking thing on top that a guy sits inside of and controls.
