Everyone meet Howard. Howard is 92-years-old, and his been married to his 93-year-old wife, Laura, for 73 years. And they are officially the sweetest, most adorable, #goals-iest couple in existence.
In a video captured by their granddaughter, Erin, Laura is currently “making peace with her final days” in a hospice facility. Laura, who can’t hear very well and is too weak to raise her voice, learned that Howard was in the room with her, and all she wanted to do was hold her husband.
Howard rolled his wheelchair up to her, and, with a little assistance in the standing department, sang “their song” — the same song they listened to while he was off at war, and the same song they sang when renewing their vows on their 50th wedding anniversary — to his dying wife.
You can watch the full video below, where you can both cry over your lunch and also watch Howard self-proclaim that he was her greatest lover. I mean, after 73 years of marriage, you could say you walked on the moon and nobody’s gonna say otherwise.
