You ever been in a city and thought to yourself, “Good lord, everyone works for the same company…”? Well, Broadview Networks created a map that shows the largest employers in each US state. Surprisingly enough, a lot of them are universities. McDonald’s is nowhere to be found on the map, which is encouraging, I guess. (Click to enlarge)
Using data from CareerOneStop, a job database created by the US Department of Labor and info from CNN and USA Today, they composed the map. More shockingly, only two companies from the top 10 employers in the US even made the cut, with IBM in Vermont and Wal-mart in Arkansas.
