This Is Probably The Dumbest Tweet Of All Time

UPDATE: The girl who sent the tweet is a 14-year-old Dutch girl. She has turned herself in to police earlier on Monday and is undergoing questioning. She’ll probably get off scot-free, but I doubt it’s going to be any consolation to what her parents do to her.

On Sunday morning, a Twitter user simply named “Sarah” (Her account “@queendemetriax_” has since been suspended) tweeted a terroristic threat to American Airlines’ Twitter account, making this the millionth time in the last week a teenager has pathetically sought attention on Twitter in the worst way possible.

American deleted the tweet after it quickly went viral on Sunday morning, while Sarah soon went into full blown “CYA” mode and recanted her idiotic, attention seeking and racist tweet (really hit for the moron cycle, there), but it was already too late.

Looks like Sarah wasn’t taught that literally everything you do has consequences, good or bad. Unfortunately for her, this one almost ended with her sharing a cell in Gitmo with a high-level Al Qaeda operative. Before her account was suspended, she had gained over 21,000 followers in a few short hours. I hate social media sometimes.

If my kid did something like this, I would smash their phone and/or computer in front of them and ground their ass back to the stone age. This is the worst kind of attention seeking behavior we see out of teenagers on Twitter. Just like the countless girls who threaten to kill themselves if Justin Bieber or Zak Bagans don’t acknowledge their existence on a social media platform.
