As someone that went to a private school with a successful football program, knowing that my parents/loans payed out almost $200,000 for my education and the scholarship athletes received that plus food/living allowance (for example, my school gave football players $150 a week to spend however they wanted)…I’m really tired of the “college athletes don’t get paid” arguments.
It’s not that they aren’t compensated in the form of scholarships. It’s that the NCAA makes hundreds of millions off of student athletes and they brag about offering them free wifi.
