Jared Guynes, a 29-year-old Dallas local, wants to reunite Vanilla Ice and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at his 30th birthday party in February. Someone throw a parade for this man and declare February “Jared Guynes Appreciation Month” in D-town.
“His birthday is in February and he wanted the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to come to his birthday and he was like, ‘What if I can get Vanilla Ice?'” his wife Ashley said in an interview with the Dallas Observer.
“I’m like whatever. He’s always brainstorming and trying to get the biggest, best whatever. Twenty-four hours later, we’re at another show that he was doing and he goes, ‘Vanilla Ice responded to my email. He’s coming.’ It doesn’t even surprise me anymore.”
Yeah, you are like “whatever,” Ashley. Your hubby is about to organize the most ridiculous party Dallas has ever seen, and that’s saying something.
This is the furthest thing from a #PGP. This guy is living the ’90s dream at the age of 29. Jared organizes parties and car shows and he’s paying for the entire thing via crowdfunding and he’s raised nearly $20,000 dollars of his $40,000 goal as of Tuesday afternoon.
Apparently, Guynes already knew Rob Van Winkle AKA Vanilla Ice after meeting him at a VIP show in Vegas.
“When it came my turn and I got to talk to him, the first thing I said was, ‘You know, forget everything else, you in Ninja Turtles II was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen and I just want to thank you for one of my best childhood memories,” Jared says. “He’s like, ‘Dude, you like Ninja Turtles? I’m a huge Ninja Turtles fan! I love the Ninja Turtles!”
Guynes is calling the party “Epic Party Dallas” because there really aren’t many more words to describe this amazing event if it really happens. Coolio is even going to be there. But what I’m really hoping for is a recreation of the fight between TMNT and Tokka and Rahzar.
I am going to try my damndest to be there. I bet this chick will be there too:

This just made my day.
