There are few things I like more than Independence Day. You get to spend a long weekend being unapologetically patriotic while listening to Kid Rock wearing our colors along with the people you love. Don’t believe me? Well here’s a picture of me sitting in a perfectly manicured lawn covered in “John McCain Freedom Notes” while straddling Old Glory.
And yes, I’m well aware that I was going through a fat stage. I grilled a lot of cheese-stuffed brats from the farmer’s market that summer.
One of my fondest 4th of July memories was back in 2009: waking up with a wicked hangover, I frantically scrambled to create an Independence Day playlist before our 10 a.m. party began. Sunburned, beaten down, and bruised, I sat on the toilet ignoring BBMs only to craft a playlist that would have made even our Founding Fathers say, “Hey, toss me another cold one. I’m peaking right now.” Well, today, I did it again.
If anyone’s looking for me before Monday, I’ll be the guy listening to the above songs while maximizing his chill in an inappropriately low unbuttoned shirt with a rope hat on next to a large body of water surrounded by fellow patriots. I’d suggest you do the same.
Have any additions? Just let me know and I can update at my discretion because that’s the beauty of Spotify. I’m here to please. To go directly to the playlist and subscribe, look no further. .

Stay tuned for my pornhub playlist.
The advertisement underneath this comment section is in Spanish. I feel very conflicted. However, it is an advertisement for cleaning products so….
I’m partial to Courtesy of the Red White and Blue
Definitely needs OCMS Wagon Wheel and We Are The Champions because of US dominance. Danger Zone for the perfect top gun reference. Other than that – perfection. Beautiful. Merica.
There ya go.
If you want something newish to bring a little change up to the playlist
So American – Portugal. The man
dont forget america by neil diamond
I’m more of a 90s/00s Kid Rock kinda guy, so I’ll be listening to American Badass.
This is a lot better than the other Playlist created a couple days ago. Kudos for including The Hag
Much better than the other list. Still can’t figure out why George Michaels’ “Freedom” keeps making the cut. It shouldn’t.
