I’m all about accountability and consistency when it comes to someone pushing an ideology. As long as you’re logically consistent and your beliefs are sound, you’re good in my book. The socialists of the somewhat ironically named “Freedom Socialist Party” are apparently not a bunch to practice what they preach though. In a posting that outlines their needs for a web content manager, they also state that one of their ultimate goals is a 20 dollar minimum wage.
The problem? The job only pays $13 dollars an hour. From each according to his web design skills, to each at just enough money to ensure you skate along the poverty line like you’re going for Olympic gold in not having money for anything more than ramen.
Clearly someone should get the position and then go about advocating an internal socialist revolution at the Freedom Socialist Party. I think they’re a bit confused about how socialism is actually supposed to work. Either that, or this is just a successful Marxist system in action. Quick, someone resurrect George Orwell so we can get an updated version of “Animal Farm” to confirm these people are doing it wrong..
